
Our Frozen Planet
I was involved in everything from ideation to execution on this 7 month project: a social collaboration with the NHU that highlighted the lesser-known effects of global warming on communities and wildlife worldwide.
My role was to collaborate with the documentary team to approve ideas, edit and review scripts, write captions across social platforms and schedule the series. This has since been nominated for The Lovie Awards for ‘Science, Education & Discovery in Social Content Series & Campaign’.
A social-first campaign.
The campaign required copy across all major socials: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok. This required a tailored approach to each platform, taking the varied audience demographics into account. Raising awareness around a topic like this needs to be done in a way that highlights the gravity of the situation, whilst avoiding placing blame on the audience as this can cause people to switch off completely. I successfully delivered the message for each asset taking different elements into account – cultural sensitivities, factual accuracy but also a light-heartedness when necessary.
