BBC Earth
I’ve been part of the BBC Earth team multiple times, and with each contract I’ve taken on different roles and projects. Our Frozen Planet was a 7 month project, however I also took some time for general support which included BAU copy and planning. I most recently joined the team as acting manager (the closest thing to a promotion I can get as a freelancer!).
Feb 24 - March 24
6 week contract
I worked on the development of the BBC Earth brand bible, an internal document created to align people globally that work on BBC Earth. My main role was the tone of voice, which I built using audience insights and my own personal knowledge of the brand, acquired from working with the team over the past 2 years.
Alongside this I took on the role of acting manager. I oversaw content for the majority of BAU content across social within this period. This included fact-checking, editing and approving copy, as well as writing some myself to provide extra support for the team.

Alongside the Our Frozen Planet project, I worked on BAU content across all social platforms. This included social planning, sourcing content, writing captions, scheduling YouTube content and more.
